About The Position

The Special Education Aide for Life Skills will support students with disabilities in a classroom setting, assisting them in their daily activities and educational tasks. This role is crucial in fostering an inclusive environment where students can thrive academically and socially.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in special education or related field.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Experience with behavior management techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities in daily activities and educational tasks.
• Support the lead teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Help students develop life skills and social interactions.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the teacher.
