About The Position

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Campbell Elementary School. The Special Education Teacher is responsible for implementing instructional programs tailored to students' needs, interests, and abilities using appropriate materials. Key duties include maintaining a safe and orderly environment, communicating with parents/guardians, keeping accurate student records, and collaborating with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members. The teacher will also monitor and assess student achievement and attend ongoing professional learning and meetings. Required experience includes teaching in special education, knowledge of best instructional practices, ability to integrate technology, and experience in educational and instructional leadership. Candidates must hold or be eligible for Virginia licensure with a Special Education endorsement.
