About The Position

To provide leadership, coordination, and technical assistance to support the implementation of behavior analytic services across the district. This position is part of the district's behavioral support team, supports the Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), provides supervision to RBT's and collaborates with school staff in the development and implementation of effective behavioral interventions to improve student outcomes, improve student outcomes using evidence-based behavioral interventions aligned with educational goals and special education regulations.

Requirements

  • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, School Psychology, or Education
  • Experience in behavior intervention, specifically with children aged 3-21
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and evidence-based interventions
  • Knowledge of IDEA and special education compliance requirements
  • Ability to analyze and interpret student data
  • Strong consultation, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Ability to support staff in implementing behavior strategies with fidelity
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent personal relationship skills
  • Ability to organize, communicate effectively, make decisions, work independently and as a member of a team
  • Use of good judgment to make decisions on recurring assignments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a supervisor when discretion is required

Responsibilities

  • Research interventions and best practices in behavior analysis in order to train, model and coach staff
  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring of new BCBAs and behavior staff
  • Provide direct supervision and coaching for BCBAs and RBTs
  • Serves as a resource person in areas assigned for all district personnel, students, parents/guardians, and the Student Support Services Division
  • Uses data to allocate and assign resources to schools to meet student needs
  • Support implementation of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) aligned with best practices
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations related to special education and behavior supports
  • Assist schools in addressing complex student behavioral needs, including crisis situations
  • Analyze and use behavioral data to guide program decisions and improve outcomes
  • Support the integration of behavior supports within Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
  • Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate
  • Assists with planning, developing, and facilitating the implementation of professional growth of BCBA and RBT staff under the guidance of the special education administrative team
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of procedural guidelines and training materials
  • Consult and collaborate with special education and general education staff to appropriately consider and monitor data in order to support successful intensive practices and specialized instruction
  • Consults with and assists special education staff in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans for pupils and assists and supports staff as they determine free appropriate public education (FAPE) for individual students
