This position is a 1.0 FTE located within the Office of Special Education.
Requirements
Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
Eligibility for a Postgraduate Certificate, with endorsement in one or more disability areas covered under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act or in related field.
Successful evaluations for last three years.
Familiarity with models of inclusion.
At least three years experience in special education or related fields.
Experience and ability in reviewing and evaluating assessment data prepared for the special education process.
Experience working with students with special needs.
Experience working in schools as a teacher.
Nice To Haves
Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
Knowledgeable about special education policies and procedures.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
