About The Position

Position will provide administrative services to the Special Collections Unit in Travelers Residual Markets by performing a variety of tasks in support of day-to-day operations and litigation efforts. Tasks will primarily support the process of collecting unpaid workers' compensation premiums. Incumbent will work closely with Collection Analysts in facilitating the collections process. Role requires good organizational skills, excellent computer and communication skills as well as the ability to independently plan and to accurately perform multiple tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of administrative experience using Microsoft Office Products.

  • 3 to 5 years of administrative experience.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple systems.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook).
  • Ability to switch between tasks at short notice, to ensure higher priority tasks are addressed as they arise.
  • Flexibility to adjust to new situations and changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with an initiative-taking mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Current Notary Public in Hartford County or will become one.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Workers' Compensation uncollected files for litigation by providing documents to attorneys, including statements of account.
  • Manage the "complaint" process by comparing information, proofreading complaints, and preparing affidavits.
  • Enter litigation notes and alerts into Special Collections systems.
  • Retrieve daily tasks, enter comments, and provide litigation status updates using the Residual Markets Division workstation.
  • Coordinate with collection vendors to provide required documents and information.
  • Provide reporting and trending statistics.
  • Serve as assigned Notary Public.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
