About The Position
The Special Assistant position at the World Bank Group (WBG) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the organization's mission of alleviating poverty and promoting sustainable development. The role is situated within the Integrity Vice Presidency (INT), which plays a crucial role in ensuring that the WBG's financial resources are used effectively to benefit the poor. The Special Assistant will support the INT Vice President in delivering the overall work program, which includes a variety of responsibilities such as preparing analytic content, coordinating meetings, and managing sensitive workflows. This position requires a high level of discretion and confidentiality, as well as the ability to work effectively across different teams and stakeholders within the WBG. The Special Assistant will be involved in gathering relevant inputs and preparing substantive materials to support the Vice President's engagements on key matters. This includes providing advice on institutional and administrative considerations, coordinating the Vice President's schedule, and ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and relevance. The role also involves liaising with other Special Assistants and staff members across Vice Presidential Units, as well as engaging in outreach and relationship management with key partners both within and outside the WBG. In addition to these responsibilities, the Special Assistant will keep abreast of emerging issues relevant to INT's work and ensure that important developments are communicated promptly to the front office. The position is designed for individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Vice President and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Integrity Vice Presidency.
