About The Position

The FBI Special Agent position is designed for individuals with a law or legal background who are looking to apply their expertise in a challenging and dynamic environment. Special Agents engage in various investigations related to national security, counterterrorism, cyber matters, and more, while undergoing continuous specialized training. This role requires a commitment to high standards of conduct and physical fitness, as well as the ability to work irregular hours and be on-call 24/7.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be at least 23 years old and not have reached your 37th birthday on appointment.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
• Must have two years of full-time professional work experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with at least six months of driving experience.
• Must have a bachelor's degree or JD degree from a U.S.-accredited college or university.

Nice To Haves

• Leadership experience (1 year preferred)

Responsibilities

• Adhere to strict standards of conduct and undergo a rigorous background investigation.
• Pass all physical fitness requirements and maintain a high level of fitness throughout your career.
• Successfully complete approximately 18 weeks of training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA.
• Be available to transfer to one of the FBI's 56 Field Offices after graduation.
• Work a minimum of a 50-hour workweek, including irregular hours and being on-call 24/7.
• Participate in arrests, execute search warrants, and conduct raids as necessary.
• Complete the Special Agent Selection System (SASS) process.
