About The Position

The Special Agent (Ethics Option) is a permanent, full-time position with the Alabama Ethics Commission. Positions are statewide, in various locations throughout Alabama. This is highly responsible work conducting investigations of suspected violations and in enforcing laws, rules, and regulations under the purview of the Ethics Commission.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations of suspected ethics violations
• Enforce laws, rules, and regulations related to ethics
• Gather and analyze evidence
• Interview witnesses and suspects
• Prepare and present findings and recommendations to the Ethics Commission
• Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders as needed
