About The Position

The FBI is seeking Special Agents with a cybersecurity or technology background to combat cybercrimes and protect national security. This role involves applying professional experience in IT, network security, and digital forensics to investigate and prevent cyber threats. Agents will receive specialized training and work on complex cases, contributing to the Bureau's mission of justice and security.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be at least 23 years old and not have reached your 37th birthday on appointment.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI Clearance.
• Must have two years of full-time professional work experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with at least six months of driving experience.
• Must have a bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S.-accredited college or university.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in cybersecurity (1 year preferred).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to strict standards of conduct.
• Undergo a rigorous background investigation, credit checks, and a polygraph to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
• Pass all physical fitness requirements and maintain a high level of fitness throughout your career.
• Pass a medical exam, including visual and hearing standards.
• Successfully complete approximately 18 weeks of training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA.
• Be available to transfer to one of the FBI's 56 Field Offices after graduation.
• Be available for temporary duty assignments anywhere in the world.
• Work a minimum of a 50-hour workweek, including irregular hours and being on-call 24/7.
• Participate in arrests, execute search warrants, and similar assignments.
• Complete the Special Agent Selection System (SASS) process.
