About The Position
Mid American Credit Union is seeking a Special Accounts Representative (Collections) to join our team in Wichita, KS. This full-time position offers a starting pay of $18 an hour and is ideal for individuals who thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment. As a member-owned institution, our mission is to provide quality financial services that exceed member expectations. The Special Accounts Representative will play a crucial role in preserving the credit union's assets by managing delinquent loan accounts and collecting overdue payments. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with members and assist them in resolving their financial situations. In this role, you will be responsible for contacting delinquent accounts through phone and mail, analyzing the financial situations of borrowers, and making recommendations for further action when necessary. You will maintain accurate records of all collections activities and report any trends in loan underwriting that may contribute to delinquent loans. Additionally, you may be required to testify at legal proceedings related to collections.
