About The Position

Train and support teachers, principals and other school staff in Restorative Practice Implementation, using and interpreting school discipline data. Provides training and support in one of the following secondary areas of need; ACE, Transition, Mentoring, and Parent and Classroom management. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Restorative Practice, Conflict Resolution, and/or Mediation is an added plus

Responsibilities

  • Use school discipline data to train and support school staffs in Restorative Practice.
  • Provide ongoing training and retraining in Restorative Practice for assigned schools.
  • Attend grade level, academy, and parent meetings to support implementation of Restorative Practice with fidelity.
  • Each Restorative Practice Specialist will develop trainings and provide training in an assigned secondary area of need; ACE, Transition, Mentoring, and Parent and Classroom Management.
  • Based on their assigned secondary area of need and the Restorative Practice model the Restorative Practice Specialist will coordinate support services for students with the Discipline Review Board staff .
