About The Position

The Warehouse Specialist 3 plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. This position involves advanced responsibilities related to receiving goods, operating power forklifts, and flexibly working in various areas of the warehouse to handle shipping, kitting, and inventory management. The role requires physical activity and attention to detail to maintain high standards in order processing and inventory accuracy.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with no moving violations in the last three years.
  • 12 months of general warehouse or shipping/receiving experience.
  • Close attention to detail and ability to understand written instructions.
  • Proficient data entry skills and familiarity with Microsoft Suite and Infor Powerlink/FMS.
  • Ability to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining mental focus.
  • General knowledge of warehouse, shipping, and receiving procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to drive a power forklift and attain certification.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs and participate in team lifts of 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hazardous materials handling.
  • Knowledge of inventory software systems.
  • Familiarity with six sigma activities.

Responsibilities

  • Receive raw materials, parts, supplies, and finished goods from vendors.
  • Check conditions of all received goods for damage, quantity, size, weight, and product description.
  • Verify that packages are properly labeled and report deficiencies to leadership.
  • Inspect purchased parts and materials for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments.
  • Approve or reject items and record inspection and disposition information.
  • Complete receiving documents and route them to the appropriate department.
  • Enter receiving data into the computer system.
  • Load/unload deliveries using power forklift and other lifts.
  • Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and supplies between buildings.
  • Utilize current shipping software and complete various transportation documents.
  • Validate UPC and SRP requirements for large key account orders before processing.
  • Collect parts for contract labor partners in kit form and negotiate pricing and time for completion.
  • Sort and deliver in-house packages and supplies to the correct departments.
  • Restock primary and secondary stock locations accurately and timely.
  • Fill customer orders from stock using a tablet computer and maintain a high picking accuracy.
  • Participate in cycle counts and year-end physical inventory.
  • Perform general housekeeping and adhere to safety requirements.
