The Special Education Paraprofessional will monitor students during arrival, lunch, recess, and dismissal times. This role involves assisting in classroom instruction under the direction of both general education and special education teachers. The paraprofessional will implement Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) as outlined in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) and assist students in following the classroom schedule. Additionally, the paraprofessional will record and summarize data as directed by the special education teacher, maintain daily communication with the teacher, and assist in modifying or accommodating classroom work according to each student's IEP. Confidentiality of student information must be maintained, and all employee practices listed in the Paraprofessional Employees Agreement must be followed.
