About The Position
State Street Global Advisors is seeking passionate internship students who are eager to learn about investments and asset management. As the asset management arm of State Street, we are one of the world's leading providers of financial services to institutional investors, managing close to $3 trillion in assets. Our summer internship program is designed to provide students with a robust and comprehensive work experience that prepares them for full-time opportunities within our organization. Interns will become integral team members from day one, engaging in projects and assignments that support both their teams and the broader business objectives. Throughout the 10-week internship, participants will have the opportunity to engage in personal and professional development workshops, network across the enterprise, and participate in small group discussions with senior executives. Additionally, interns will have exclusive interview opportunities for full-time roles upon graduation. The program offers a unique chance to work within one or more of the intermediary sales teams, tackling real business challenges and collaborating across various teams within the SPDR ETF franchise, which includes Institutional Sales, Practice Management, Capital Markets, Strategy and Research, and Advised Solutions. As pioneers in the global ETF market, State Street Global Advisors launched the first US-listed ETF in 1993 and has continued to innovate with groundbreaking products. Interns will receive internal sales training, shadow experienced sales team members, and practice public speaking skills, all while supporting the intermediary distribution team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the financial services industry and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in asset management.
