About The Position

Spay and Neuter Clinic Supervisor Join our growing team as we prepare to open a brand-new hospital in 2026! As a competitive-paying, nonprofit veterinary clinic, our mission is to ensure all pet owners have access to affordable medical care, wellness services, vaccines, and spay/neuter surgeries. The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full-time Spay/Neuter Clinic Supervisor to join our team. This position offers a consistent 4x10 schedule, with shifts rotating Monday through Saturday between 6:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., including rotating Saturdays. A Day in the Life: The Spay and Neuter Clinic Supervisor will lead and support a dedicated team of veterinary professionals, ensuring the smooth execution of daily operations, surgical workflows, and appointments in our high-volume clinic. The Spay and Neuter Supervisor will provide exceptional customer experience, ensuring that policy/procedures produce an excellent experience every time for our customers. Our clinic performs 40–80 surgeries daily, serves up to 200 patients on vaccine Fridays, and hosts feral cat TNR days twice a month. We're currently operating a high volume HQHVSN clinic and are preparing to move into a newly renovated hospital space in Spring 2026, expanding to offer full-service veterinary care, including radiology, dentals, and soft tissue surgery.

Requirements

  • High schooldiploma or GED required.
  • 3 years of experience working as a veterinary technician required.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Proficient in monitoring animals under anesthesia.
  • Strong communication skills are needed both internally and externally.
  • Should have good interpersonal skills and be able to resolve conflict.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure, professionalism, and a positive work environment under pressure.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and background screening to be compliant with DEA requirements for dispensing controlled drugs.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a veterinary technician program preferred.
