About The Position

FLUENT Cannabis is looking for a Marketing Intern, someone with the capacity to support the marketing team, and help implement strategies to strengthen the company's market presence. Cannabis is a highly regulated industry with very particular needs. We are looking for a versatile Marketing Intern ready to be a team member and expand his/her knowledge in the cannabis industry. Our ideal candidate will execute projects assigned by the AD of Digital Marketing within the scope of social media, brand coordination and digital marketing. Primary responsibilities will include building out the content calendar for various social media platforms and profiles, working with various teams to generate ideas and concepts, developing written content documents (manuals, guides, blogging, presentations), and support the organization of the department. This role will also be responsible for organizing marketing vendors that are key to the company and department success.

Requirements

  • Pursing a bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in marketing.
  • Knowledge in online content marketing and social media development strategies.
  • Knowledge in retail marketing.
  • Exhibit initiative and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and execute social media content marketing strategies for various brands.
  • Organize, prioritize, and schedule the marketing department projects.
  • Coordinate joint efforts for events, dispensary openings, new product launches, and provide marketing materials/manuals.
  • Coordinate all marketing requests with other departments and 3rd party vendors, including but not limited to FLUENT Rewards, Lifestyle Products, and printing requests.
  • Coordinate in-house marketing efforts to promote the brand to our employees.
  • Organize promotional events at trade shows and other venues.
  • Manage and oversee sponsorship engagements, including managing payments and coordinating execution.
  • Oversee creative services and lifestyle product projects by identifying, assembling, and coordinating opportunities; and establishing contacts.
  • Partner with the creative team, other internal stakeholders, and external agencies and vendors.
  • Support team to develop brand and/or marketing strategies.
