About The Position

The Junior Analyst will be part of the Analytics Team within StepStone's Portfolio Analytics and Reporting department, focusing on processing data, creating models, and generating analyses for investment research. This full-time position offers a 16-week paid opportunity with potential for extension or transition to a permanent role.

Requirements

• Possesses or is in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• Demonstrated track record of academic success.
• Entry level proficiency in Excel is required.
• Knowledge of investments and/or private markets.

• Extremely strong attention to detail to maintain data integrity.
• Willingness to ask questions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Research team with due diligence of new private markets funds by constructing track record models to analyze historical performance.
• Classify and store characteristics of investment managers into StepStone's proprietary database.
• Transform and maintain the integrity of data in StepStone's database from various sources.
• Develop a general understanding of concepts and terminology within private market investments.
