The Spanish Tutors tutor students at all levels of Spanish language study, but work primarily with first and second-year language students in one-on-one oral assignments.
Conduct one-on-one oral practice assignments with first and second year Spanish students
Basic record keeping of oral assignments
Offer walk-in or Zoom-based tutoring service during posted hours
Proctoring exams
Administering the Spanish Placement Exam during new student orientations
Maintaining and posting available hours
Maintain confidentiality
Other duties as necessary or assigned.
Must be a current CSS student
Very high proficiency in Spanish is required
Strong organizational and time management skills required.
Job functions require sitting during shift.
Professional presence to represent the College to the public required.
Ability to perform all of the above functions during an assigned workday without significant risk of injury.
Good attendance is required.
Very high proficiency in Spanish is required. Native speakers of English should have completed SPN 3102 or an equivalent course.
Strong organizational and time management skills required, especially keeping records of students helped.
