About The Position

The Spanish Speaking Probation / Electronic Monitoring Case Manager at AMP is responsible for supervising a caseload of low to medium risk offenders sentenced to Private Probation, Electronic Monitoring, and Drug Testing. This role involves conducting investigations, formulating recommendations for the court, and ensuring public safety through effective monitoring and support of offenders. The position emphasizes community engagement and rehabilitation, tailoring services to meet individual needs and leveraging partnerships for client success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, criminology, psychology, sociology, human relations, business, or public administration.
• Two years of specialized experience in a related field, preferably in probation or similar areas.
• Clean criminal history.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a caseload of low to medium risk offenders sentenced to Private Probation, Electronic Monitoring, and Drug Testing.
• Conduct investigations on defendants, including offense details, prior criminal records, and personal and family data.
• Compile, analyze, evaluate, and report information obtained during investigations to the court.
• Formulate specific recommendations based on knowledge of relevant laws, sentencing guidelines, and post-sentence procedures.
• Prepare reports for the court on offenders who have violated their supervision, including evaluations and recommendations.
• Enforce conditions imposed by the court and develop supervision and treatment plans.
• Supervise offenders, which may require travel to remote areas and tense neighborhoods.
• Implement supervision plans and provide referrals to counseling and social agencies.
• Develop community resources and maintain regular contact with offenders and their families.
• Install, explain, and uninstall electronic monitoring equipment.

Benefits

• Pay range of $16-$19 per hour based on experience.
