Spanish Interpreter & Translator (Contract) – Immigration Team Location: Jackson County, Missouri (On-Site and Remote Opportunities Available) Position Type: Independent Contractor Are you a fluent Spanish speaker ready to make a real impact in your community? Join Sybil Mobile Notary’s growing Immigration Team and help individuals and families navigate critical immigration processes with clarity and confidence. Since 2022, we have delivered trusted interpretation services across traffic court, immigration interviews, medical appointments, mortgage loan signings, and apostille intake, ensuring our clients receive clear, accurate, and compassionate communication. We are actively seeking Spanish-speaking Interpreters and Translators to support clients through immigration services, including hearings, document preparation, and ongoing communication. This flexible contract role offers both on-site and remote opportunities in Jackson County. Native Spanish speakers and multilingual candidates, including those who speak Indigenous or regional languages from Latin America, are strongly encouraged to apply. Your language skills and cultural understanding are essential in serving our diverse client base.
Requirements
- Fluency in Spanish and English (required)
- Ability to effectively communicate with speakers of Indigenous or regional languages is a strong plus
- Experience in interpretation, translation, or immigration services preferred
- Strong communication skills and professionalism
- Ability to work independently with a flexible schedule
Responsibilities
- Provide Spanish to English and English to Spanish interpretation and translation
- Interpret during immigration-related appointments, hearings, and other client interactions
- Assist clients with visa applications, green card processes, and USCIS forms
- Respond to and support client communication through phone calls and emails, including Spanish speakers and individuals who speak Indigenous languages
- Deliver accurate, professional, and confidential communication at all times
