About The Position

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is looking for Spanish interpreters in the Wilmington, DE area. As a member of our network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the local community in a variety of settings, including educational, medical, social services, and more.

Requirements

• Full fluency in both English and Spanish
• Daytime availability (between the hours of 9AM - 3PM)
• Availability to support our interpreting clients 10-15 hours a week
• Access to reliable transportation
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred, but not required
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.), but not required
• Candidates must be willing to get a background check including Federal, State, and Child Abuse Registry
• Must have reliable phone service for contact
• Must be comfortable with using a computer or smart phone for job input

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience
• Industry specific certifications/trainings (CMI, CCHI, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Travel to local client sites, within the Wilmington, Delaware area
• Provide Spanish-English interpreting for school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, medical appointments, and more
• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
