About The Position

The Spanish Interpreter Floater will facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak the same language by converting one spoken language to another. Interpreting services include but are not limited to Employment, Training & Orientation, Meetings, Human Resources, Health Services, and other operational activities as assigned. This position is held to a strict code of confidentiality and requires the interpreter to be willing to work in all environments of the facility.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Must pass the Interpreter Assessment with an average score of 90% or higher.
• One year of interpreter experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current Team Members certified under Tyson interpreter program preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer and typing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational, decision-making, and follow-up skills.
• Valid driver's license required for attending outside medical appointments.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between non-Spanish and Spanish speaking parties.
• Provide interpreting services for various operational activities.
• Maintain confidentiality in all interpreting situations.
• Work in different environments within the facility as needed.
