About The Position

The Warehouse Associate/Generalist position at Global Industrial involves managing the movement and organization of products within the warehouse to fulfill customer orders efficiently. The role requires operating machinery, utilizing RF scanners, and ensuring the accuracy of orders while maintaining safety and productivity standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a warehouse environment required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating an electric pallet jack required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience utilizing an RF scanner required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis required.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Reading and comprehension skills required.
• Must possess computer exposure.
• Strong initiative and self-motivational skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use an RF scanner to determine the proper products to be moved, gathered, or distributed for completing customer orders.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets, shelves, or conveyor belts based on the necessary route for either the packing station or shipping department.
• Operate a riding powered pallet jack and/or forklift to move products efficiently in a productive environment.
• Receive processed orders, verify accuracy of order, and scan order into the computer system.
• Band products securely to respective pallets using company standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Utilize machinery to shrink wrap products on pallets.
• Stage or load products as necessary using a forklift and pallet jack.
• Load orders safely and efficiently.
• Receive merchandise into the warehouse daily upon delivery and unload trucks while verifying inventory.
• Record and report discrepancies and/or damages as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
