About The Position

The Ultrasound Technician at CCRM Fertility plays a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services, particularly in the areas of OB/GYN and infertility. This position involves performing various ultrasound procedures, collaborating with medical professionals, and ensuring accurate imaging to support patient diagnoses and outcomes. The technician is expected to work independently while also coordinating with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited ultrasound technician program and possession of relevant certifications (e.g., ARDMS, ARRT) is required.
  • Must maintain active status through continuing education.
  • 1+ year of ultrasound experience required; Women's Health and/or fertility experience preferred.
  • Competent in discerning normal/abnormal anatomy and physiology related to diagnostic imaging.
  • High degree of clinical judgment and accuracy in scanning.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a fertility clinic setting.
  • Familiarity with advanced ultrasound technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic OB/GYN/infertility ultrasound procedures utilizing various transducers.
  • Conduct ultrasounds during embryo transfers and Doppler procedures.
  • Utilize 3D ultrasound technology for imaging.
  • Import scans accurately into patients' electronic medical records (EMR) using Image Quest.
  • Differentiate normal and abnormal structures and provide assessments concerning pathology viewed during scanning.
  • Educate patients about procedures and communicate findings appropriately.
  • Address abnormal findings with physicians in a timely manner.
  • Organize work schedule and coordinate patient care flow between procedures.
  • Mark patient's superbill for exams performed and ensure payment for services provided.
  • Clean equipment and exam beds between patients and restock examination rooms.
  • Re-order equipment and supplies as needed and reconcile packing slips for the business office.
  • Provide training and in-service education to team members.
  • Assist with quality improvement projects and AIUM accreditation processes.
