The Trust Operations Associate I plays a crucial role in the accurate and timely accounting of investable assets held by the company's Trust clients. This position involves securities accounting, ensuring that transactions are authorized, confirmed, executed, and recorded accurately in the Trust Accounting System. The Associate is also responsible for posting income and managing settlement wires, contributing to the overall efficiency of the Trust operations.

  • Daily posting of dividends and interest to client accounts
  • Daily settlement of trades to client accounts
  • Daily credit of deposits to client accounts
  • Reconcile daily transaction reports and validate external data
  • Ensure timely and accurate wire transfers
  • Address unsettled trades, errors, and exceptions, reporting them to management as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations pertaining to trade and broker recordkeeping
  • Act as a support resource for different departmental functions as needed
  • Follow company policies and procedures in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is beneficial
  • Prior experience in a financial institution or similar setting is advantageous, but not mandatory
  • Successful completion of various Schools of Trust or Securities Operations will be required upon hire
  • Demonstrates a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in work
  • Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders
  • Displays a proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to various operational tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Capable of prioritizing work and handling a heavy volume of tasks effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships through a high level of interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and handle multiple variables in situations with limited guidance
  • Previous trust and banking experience
