About The Position

The THAAD Radar Instructor position at Raytheon involves providing training and guidance to KSA Soldiers on the THAAD AN/TPY2 System Radar. The role is critical in ensuring that the soldiers are proficient in various technical concepts and operational tasks related to missile defense systems. The instructor will be based in El Paso, Texas, and will focus on maintaining a mission-ready status while delivering comprehensive training in both classroom and field environments.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with THAAD or equivalent Missile Defense System.
  • Experience with Air and Missile Defense Operations.
  • Technical Instruction and Training experience in a Military or Civilian environment.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Computer-Based Training (CBT), Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Training and Distance Learning.
  • Experience working with basic forms of instructional and training analysis.
  • Completion of the AN/TPY-2 Common Course and OJT or US Army THAAD course.
  • Training in THAAD System Administrator, THAAD ADA Officer, THAAD System Technician (140E), THAAD AN/TPY-2 Radar, THAAD Prime Power Unit.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Windows Desktop & Server.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and guidance to KSA Soldiers on THAAD Technical Concepts.
  • Train soldiers on Prime Power Unit (PPU) Operator/Maintainer tasks.
  • Instruct on THAAD Radar Operator/Maintainer tasks.
  • Conduct training on RSOP Procedures and Emplacement of the System.
  • Oversee Power Up/Down System procedures and Software Initialization.
  • Run diagnostics and track satellites as part of training.
  • Perform operator-level maintenance and integrate with TFCC.
  • Load Battle Plan from TFCC and execute March Order System tasks.
  • Ensure completion of Operator PMCS tasks and certification in a field environment.
