About The Position

The Social Worker MSW BHU (Per Diem/Days) position at Pipeline Health involves providing comprehensive social work services to patients and their families in a healthcare setting. Requirements

• At least six months of experience as a Medical Social Worker in a general acute healthcare setting.
• Strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• Strong organizational skills and PC (computer) skills.
• Capacity to learn, synthesize, and make critical judgments independently.

Nice To Haves

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (preferred).
• Experience in crisis prevention intervention or similar certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social work services and counseling to patients and families.
• Conduct interviews with patients/family within 72 hours of admission to assess needs.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in patient conditions.
• Communicate pertinent data regarding patient status to healthcare professionals.
• Implement physician's orders accurately and consult for clarification when necessary.
• Develop intervention plans based on assessments and coordinate with other healthcare disciplines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary patient care reviews and training.
• Utilize policy and procedure manuals to deliver care efficiently and respectfully.
• Collaborate with medical staff regarding patient functional status and needs.
• Maintain basic unit/department organization and report equipment issues.
