The Retail Host/Hostess at Deep Roots Harvest is responsible for supporting the general operations of the retail location, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing inventory efficiently. This role involves assisting customers with their purchasing decisions, maintaining accurate inventory counts, and adhering to company policies and procedures. The position requires a strong focus on customer service and compliance with industry regulations.

  • Assist retail customers in accordance with the company's mission and objectives.
  • Provide extensive product knowledge to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Complete assigned work during scheduled shifts accurately and efficiently.
  • Utilize and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system properly.
  • Follow cash handling procedures and apply discounts/coupons as needed.
  • Answer phone calls and greet customers pleasantly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and product sales records.
  • Assist in the cannabis product inventory intake process according to protocols.
  • Prepare, package, and deliver curbside pickup orders accurately.
  • Verify customer identity for curbside pickups before completing transactions.
  • Ensure correct payment is received before providing purchases to customers.
  • Complete curbside pickup transactions upon returning to the retail facility.
  • Maintain medical patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Comprehend and apply all security and safety compliance procedures.
  • Keep the store organized, clean, and well-maintained.
  • Communicate openly with management and co-workers.
  • Report employee issues or customer concerns to supervisory staff.
  • Support management in daily operations and customer service issues.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand and complete directives in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of compliance software and job-specific IT.
  • Adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and achieve departmental goals.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software and POS applications.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to cannabis sales.
  • Competitive hourly wage starting from $14 an hour.
