About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Mia Aesthetics involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing plastic surgery. The role focuses on ensuring patient needs are met pre- and post-operatively, monitoring for complications, and collaborating with medical staff to coordinate care. The RN will also educate patients and their families about post-operative care, maintain cleanliness in surgical areas, and manage supplies and equipment effectively.

Requirements

• Associates degree or bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Holds and maintains an active Registered Nurse License.
• Holds and maintains an active Multistate Registered Nurse License or will obtain one if hired.
• Holds and maintains an active BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in primary care of patients as needed and makes rounds to verify patient needs are met.
• Provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical conditions.
• Monitors patients and informs surgeons or anesthesiologists of observed complications.
• Assists in coordinating patient care activities with medical staff and healthcare team members.
• Documents information received from patients and disseminates it to appropriate areas.
• Documents and carries out Pre/Post-Operative orders given by the Surgeon.
• Assists nursing staff in identifying and solving nursing care problems.
• Collaborates with medical staff in developing coordinated outcomes and interventions regarding patient progress.
• Assists with nursing activities during emergencies.
• Educates and provides instruction to patients and family members on post-operative care.
• Effectively organizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel for patient care management.
• Maintains order and cleanliness of postoperative areas.
• Assists in inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability in postoperative areas.
• Follows established HIPAA policies and procedures at all times.
• Assumes accountability for attendance and timely completion of mandatory training programs.
