About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our plastic surgery Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a passion for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Previous experience in PICU, Emergency Medicine, or Long Term Care is a plus.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures as needed.
• Familiarity with ambulatory surgery centers is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining professionalism under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care during surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition before, during, and after surgery.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Assist with positioning patients on the operating table to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Provide support to patients and their families by explaining procedures and addressing any concerns or questions.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all relevant information regarding the surgical process and recovery.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to minimize the risk of complications.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in surgical nursing.
• Recover surgical patient after surgery.
