About The Position

The Purchasing Assistant at Sofidel America is responsible for managing the purchasing process for various categories of goods, aiming to enhance business value and create financial opportunities. This role requires effective negotiation with suppliers, management of purchasing categories, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to optimize supplier relationships and purchasing practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management or equivalent business experience.
• 3+ years' Purchasing and Customer Service experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines.
• Customer service experience, both internal and external.
• Experience with SAP preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate purchasing terms with suppliers to meet internal stakeholder expectations.
• Manage categories of goods in accordance with technical requirements and business optimization.
• Promote economies of scale and improve supplier relationships by centralizing control of the purchasing process.
• Participate in the supplier selection process.
• Monitor supplier requirements to ensure they meet the needs of the Group.
• Implement best practices for managing the purchasing process.
• Interface with the Purchasing Department and other corporate departments during operations.
• Promote a corporate culture based on safety.
