About The Position

The Planning Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that all production departments at Pinch A Penny have the necessary products, materials, and supplies for efficient operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Expediter collaborates with various teams to manage inventory, track orders, and ensure timely delivery of goods, contributing to the overall success of the production process.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Basic industrial math skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and AS400 (J.D. Edwards).
  • Ability to communicate opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Empathy and compassion in delegating tasks.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and material handling standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with production planner, supervisors, material support specialists, and warehouse management.
  • Print pull sheets for each department's schedule and coordinate moves with warehouse support handlers.
  • Verify pulls 24-hours in advance to ensure correct quantities of components for production.
  • Track orders, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery of goods to production areas.
  • Monitor in-process inventory quantities of packaging items, raw chemicals, and other materials.
  • Confirm pulled material accuracy against pull sheets before releasing to production areas.
  • Assist production planner with assigned tasks and manage non-conforming material.
  • Safely operate reaches and walkies as needed.
