About The Position

The Principal at Chute Middle School is responsible for creating a safe and effective learning environment, setting performance goals for both students and teachers, and implementing systems to achieve these goals. This role involves being the instructional leader, establishing a school-wide vision aligned with the district's mission, and overseeing site operations while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of teaching experience.
• Two (2) years of school-level administrator experience at the assigned level of school.
• Master's degree in Education or a job-related area.
• Professional Educators License (PEL) with General Administrator and/or Principal endorsement.
• Illinois Performance Evaluator Qualification (Teacher & Principal required).
• Principal Evaluation Training for Teacher/Educators Evaluators.
• Principal Evaluation Training for Principal Evaluators.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe learning environment for students and staff.
• Set performance goals for students and teachers.
• Implement systems to ensure attainment of performance goals.
• Direct site operations and enforce policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide information and serve as a resource to the school and broader community.
