About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 2 years of classroom related experience or testing seasons involving preschool aged children or lower elementary aged children.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal skills to communicate effectively with children, parents, and teachers.
• Ability to speak clearly to ensure children understand verbal instructions.
• Ability to follow strict test protocols to ensure validity of results.
• Ability to work with highly confidential information.
• Must have sound judgment and be discreet with information about individuals, test information, as well as test result information.
• Ability to build rapport with young children and provide a nurturing testing environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Work effectively as a team member.

Nice To Haves

• Current or previous elementary or preschool teacher, counselor, testing technician.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Administers various standardized achievement tests to PN - 5 children on an individual and/or small group basis.
• Thoroughly learns the administration, scoring methodologies, and philosophies of specified tests.
• Observes children's behavior during test administration to identify potential areas of concern.
• Manually scores and records results of tests administered.
• Provides written evaluations as required.
• Re-scores and checks test items for accuracy; checks own and other's work.
