Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering or related field and 8 years related professional experience, or
  • Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering or related field and 7 years of relevant experience.

  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Leads aspects of internal and external coordination with project team members.
  • Conducts or directs research on issues, policies, and concepts pertaining to planning.
  • Develops conceptual planning alternatives for urban and transportation planning projects.
  • Leads tasks related to the preparation and production of technical plans, studies, written reports, and environmental documents.
  • Leads public and stakeholder engagement and presents information to the community.
  • Mentors and provides direction on the work of less experienced staff.
  • Coordinates the preparation of scopes of work, fee proposals, and responses to RFP's for projects.
  • Writes major sections of and leads production of plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents.
  • Researches data sources, gathers data, and conducts analysis of data for use in projects.
  • Develops planning and analysis strategies using tools such as GIS, traffic, or safety software.
