About The Position

The Pest Control Technician role at Kanga Pest Control involves providing pest control services to customers in the greater Portland area. The position is full-time, with no prior experience required, as all training is provided and paid. Technicians will use a company vehicle to travel to various job sites, performing inspections, treatments, and customer interactions to ensure effective pest management.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Talk with customers to understand their pest problems and identify areas of the property where they are seeing activity.
• Inspect the property for pest entry points and perform minor exclusion work to seal entry points to prevent pest entry.
• Place monitoring stations to track pest activity for identification and treatment.
• Perform pesticide treatments to prevent pest entry and to treat current activity for pests such as roaches, rodents, mosquitos, ticks, ants, spiders, and stinging insects.
• Set rodent devices to eliminate rodent activity.
• Remove and dispose of deceased pests such as rodents and stinging insects.
• Perform preventive pest control services at residential and commercial locations.
• Drive between customer locations for service calls.
• Visit current residential customers to assess pest problems and provide treatment.
• Complete one-time pest control services as needed.
• Meet with potential residential customers to discuss pest control and close sales.
