About The Position

The Personal Assistant & Home Organizer role is designed to support a busy household on a part-time, independent contractor basis. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of managing diverse tasks with a high degree of autonomy. This position involves home organization, errands, task management, and optional childcare duties, commencing on January 6, 2025, and lasting until March 31, 2025, with potential for renewal.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in professional organizing, personal assistance, property management, or related fields.
  • Childcare experience such as babysitting, nannying, or daycare work is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating order.
  • Excellent communication skills and responsiveness.
  • Self-starter able to work independently and solve problems creatively.
  • Reliable transportation for errands and on-site work.
  • Must supply own tools such as a smartphone and laptop.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in childcare to occasionally substitute for the full-time nanny.

Responsibilities

  • Declutter and implement efficient storage solutions for various rooms.
  • Coordinate the rotation and placement of seasonal items and maintain household inventory.
  • Help unpack and organize a garage from moving.
  • Recommend organizational improvements and track progress on projects.
  • Run local errands such as grocery shopping and pickup/drop-off of household items.
  • Liaise with service providers to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Maintain household calendars, set appointments, and manage to-do lists.
  • Provide regular updates and status reports on tasks.
  • Source organizational tools, supplies, or furnishings within approved budgets.
  • Coordinate deliveries, returns, and oversee installation as needed.
  • Occasionally substitute for the full-time nanny and support basic childcare tasks.
