About The Position

The Part-Time Kennel Technician is responsible for ensuring the wellbeing of dogs and cats boarding at the facility. This role involves various tasks related to the care and maintenance of the animals and the cleanliness of the facility, requiring a commitment to animal welfare and adherence to protocols.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation.
• Availability to work holidays and weekends.
• Attention to detail and ability to learn, understand, and demonstrate strict adherence to all protocols.
• Calm, courteous, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk/bend for 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Daily thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all kennel runs and cattery, inside and out.
• Feeding, watering, and giving medications to dogs and cats.
• Paying close attention to the health and wellbeing of all dogs and cats in our care.
• Taking dogs out for exercise.
• Receiving dogs from clients for boarding and bringing dogs up to clients from the kennel to go home.
• Cleaning of boarding facility and office areas before close each evening.
