About The Position

The Operations Manager at Eaton's Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure division is responsible for overseeing the full scope of operations at the Capital Blvd Plant in Raleigh, NC. This role involves managing supervisors, coordinating manufacturing and technical services, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, and efficiency goals. The Operations Manager will also participate in strategic planning and staffing decisions, ensuring optimal performance and skill development among team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Minimum three (3) years professional experience in manufacturing operations or engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 1-year experience managing others.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Manufacturing experience/certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP experience

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage the supervisors of the YPO site and oversee all operations.
  • Coordinate functions for the product line including manufacturing, technical services, supply chain, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Plan, coordinate, supervise, and motivate the activities of all assigned employees.
  • Lead plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives and develop scorecard execution for the plant.
  • Implement the Continuous Improvement Framework for YPO and support strategic projects.
  • Participate in employment and staffing decisions, and maintain departmental personnel records.
  • Develop and implement schedules for the team and assist supervisors in manpower requirements.
  • Monitor plant-wide productivity to maintain or exceed quality and production levels.
  • Engage direct reports in manufacturing LEAN initiatives and provide coaching to encourage performance.
  • Implement a zero incident safety culture and ensure operational performance indicators are met.
