About The Position

The Night Crew Supervisor at Albertsons is responsible for overseeing the grocery department during night shifts, ensuring a high level of customer service, and maintaining operational efficiency. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations while fostering a positive shopping experience for customers.

Requirements

  • Experience in a supervisory role within a retail or grocery environment.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with customers effectively.
  • Knowledge of grocery operations, including inventory management and product handling.
  • Ability to train and supervise staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance in a retail setting.

  • Experience with suggestive selling techniques and customer engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with retail labeling laws and federal/state regulations.
  • Ability to operate related equipment such as pallet jacks and safety cutters.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on providing fast and friendly customer service.
  • Assist customers by making product suggestions and engaging in suggestive selling techniques.
  • Answer and respond to incoming calls appropriately and resolve customer complaints as needed.
  • Assist with planning nightly operations and monitor production processes following company procedures.
  • Build grocery displays, rotate and discard outdated or spoiled products, and ensure cleanliness of the work area.
  • Implement effective promotional and seasonal displays and coordinate grocery sales promotions.
  • Ensure merchandise is correctly priced, displayed, and that shelves are clean and properly maintained.
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide specific knowledge of duties performed by all department employees.
  • Supervise, train, and assign duties to department employees, ensuring they are trained in store policies and procedures.
  • Control inventory to ensure adequate product quantity, quality, and freshness, maintaining inventory levels according to division directives.
  • Perform receiving duties including breaking down loads, verifying orders, inspecting quality, and stocking products.
