About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at LGI Homes will play a crucial role in supporting the Leasing Operations for LGI Living by managing maintenance work orders and ensuring properties are ready for rental. This position involves performing basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with vendors for more significant repairs. The technician will also respond to after-hours emergencies and assist with various projects as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of facility maintenance experience is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems is required.
• An Associates Degree in a related technical or mechanical field is preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are necessary.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance work orders and communicate with tenants and vendors.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and assess the need for significant repairs with designated vendors.
• Ensure homes are in 'ready-to-rent' status.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Assist with other projects as assigned.
