About the position

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of the Ennis-Flint manufacturing plant in Bakersfield, CA. This role focuses on ensuring efficient operations at the lowest cost while maintaining acceptable quality and safety standards. The position involves leadership, mentoring, and training of maintenance staff, as well as managing maintenance procedures and equipment inspections.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and evaluations for maintenance staff
• Conduct maintenance training
• Lead maintenance staff by delegating work areas
• Fix mechanical problems
• Propose improvements and changes in maintenance procedures to enhance quality, safety, service, and efficiency
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and ensure maintenance of all areas of the plant
• Ensure proper functioning of all electrical units and systems in the plant
• Maintain records of daily maintenance and service activities
• Follow Ennis-Flint policies and OSHA rules during maintenance functions
• Order spare parts and equipment for replacement and maintain proper documentation
• Synchronize work processes with other departments
• Set up a replacement parts inventory
• Maintain CMMS software, currently using FIIX with plans to upgrade to SAP

Requirements

• Four years of manufacturing maintenance experience including supervisory responsibility
• Minimum of an Associate's Degree with a concentration in engineering or a similar field
• Technical/electrical/automation background in manufacturing
• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance
• Detailed knowledge of quality and safety standards
