About The Position

The Local Contract-LVN position involves providing nursing care within the scope of practice to meet patients' needs in accordance with established standards, physician orders, and relevant guidelines. The role emphasizes quality improvement, infection control, and effective communication with patients and families.

Requirements

• Currently licensed as LVN in California or have a compact license if working in a Compact state.
• One year of prior nursing management experience preferred.
• Long-term care experience is preferred.
• Experience with Point Click Care charting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes such as room changes, leave of absence, new admissions, and discharges.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders as allowed by the Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
