About The Position

The Service Technician Lead at Pacific Bay Equipment is responsible for leading the service department, ensuring timely and efficient repairs on various industrial equipment. This role involves training technicians, overseeing operations, and maintaining effective communication with customers and other departments.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, technicians, and other departments.
  • Ability to organize tasks, schedules, and resources to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
  • Proficiency with service management software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Previous technical experience or understanding of industrial cleaning equipment, machinery, or related fields is required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical guidance to service technicians.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment, coordinating effectively with various departments.
  • Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate the service team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and ongoing support to service technicians on best practices, safety protocols, and company standards.
  • Organize work schedules and allocate tasks to technicians, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Supervise daily service operations to ensure that all repairs and maintenance requests are handled promptly and efficiently.
  • Monitor job progress and adjust work priorities as necessary to meet customer deadlines.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to facilitate effective communication between the service team, customer service, the parts department, and administrative staff.
  • Coordinate cross-department activities to streamline processes and resolve any service-related issues.
  • Interact directly with customers to inform them of the status of repairs, provide updates, and explain necessary services.
  • Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction by coordinating quick resolutions.
  • Keep the service shop organized, ensuring that tools, equipment, and parts are properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning workspace.
  • Ensure repairs are completed in the order in which they are received and prioritize urgent jobs as needed.
  • Track the completion of all repairs to ensure customer expectations and deadlines are met.
