About The Position

The Guest Service Manager at the Department of Military Affairs is responsible for overseeing front desk operations at Camp Lincoln in Springfield, IL. Requirements

• Two years' experience or education with computer software, hardware, and AV equipment.
• Ability to accurately maintain and update guest room assignments and patron accounts.
• Professional customer service skills to greet and assist visitors and callers.
• Compliance with established patron eligibility criteria during guest registration.
• Ability to prepare reports according to regulations or established deadlines.
• Knowledge of safety policies and security regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in hospitality or guest services.
• Familiarity with property management systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure front desk area and lobby remains clean.
• Register and assign rooms to guests, make and issue room keys, and escort guests to rooms as needed.
• Ensure that only authorized patrons use government-sponsored quarters.
• Calculate and post charges to a patron's account and balance totals with control records.
• Maintain current check-out list and print backup reports from the property management system.
• Update housekeeping status of rooms and perform other duties as assigned.
