About The Position

The HR Generalist at Xtreme Aviation is responsible for managing daily HR operations, including hiring, benefits administration, compliance, and employee lifecycle management. This role is essential in creating an efficient and compliant HR environment, ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant employment laws and regulations while supporting employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage compliance tracking for mandatory and optional training, certifications, and assessments.
  • Facilitate the hiring process, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Conduct or oversee background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Administer HR programs such as benefits, leave, performance management, and employee recognition.
  • Handle employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain up-to-date HR policies.
  • Oversee HRIS data entry, maintain employee records, and manage system updates.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Provide support for onboarding, including pre-employment screenings, I-9 verifications, and new hire orientations.
  • Assist with airport credentialing, ensuring compliance with auditing requirements.
  • Support workers' compensation and unemployment claims and provide guidance on employee handbook policies.
