About The Position

The Housekeeping position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in hotel suites, ensuring guest satisfaction through exceptional service and adherence to extended stay standards. This role involves cleaning, replenishing amenities, and reporting maintenance issues, all while providing a welcoming environment for guests.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • No previous experience required, but preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of business and financial matters.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work courteously with others.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Basic knowledge of hotel operations or ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work as a team player with all levels of associates.
  • Dedicated, hard-working, and self-motivated.
  • Practice safety standards at all times.
  • Skilled in operation of tools and equipment listed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or hotel operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) requirements for the department.
  • Rotate linen changing in accordance with extended stay schedule.
  • Thoroughly clean assigned rooms, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and changing linens.
  • Maintain kitchen suite in accordance with extended stay standards.
  • Check and clean shower curtains for mildew and scum.
  • Properly replace linen and guest amenities as needed.
  • Clean and stock Suite Attendant carts and maintain them in a presentable manner.
  • Report missing or damaged furniture and equipment to the Head Housekeeper.
  • Fill out and turn in work orders to the Head Housekeeper.
  • Label lost and found articles and turn them in.
  • Report maintenance problems in guest rooms immediately.
  • Maintain security for guests and property by keeping room doors locked at all times.
  • Work in the laundry area as necessary.
  • Remain highly visible and available for guests at all times.
  • Take initiative to offer assistance or answer questions throughout the hotel.
  • Train new associates as needed.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and deliver them to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Understand and implement the Brand service culture.
  • Perform all shift checklist responsibilities.
  • Support team members to ensure the team's entire workload is completed daily.
  • May be asked to operate a motor vehicle for hotel errands.
