About The Position

The Head of School at Point Christian Academy is responsible for leading the school in achieving its objectives as set by the Board of Directors. This role encompasses overseeing staff qualifications, financial management, maintaining the school's spiritual integrity, and managing daily administrative tasks. The Head of School will work closely with an administrative team and the Senior Pastor of Red Bank Baptist Church to ensure collaboration and unity between the school and the church.

Requirements

  • Must be a born again Christian with a written personal testimony.
  • Must believe in the Bible as the true word of God and attend a local Bible-believing church.
  • Must have a master's or doctorate degree, preferably from a Christian institution.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a school administrator.
  • Passion for Classical Christian Education.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ministry (3 years preferred).
  • Experience in Classical Christian Education (3 years preferred).
  • Experience in teaching (3 years preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in establishing and implementing a Classical Christian academic program.
  • Encourage and support extracurricular activities for student growth.
  • Employ and retain teachers who exhibit a personal relationship with Jesus.
  • Appraise and improve the performance of employed personnel.
  • Report to the Board of Directors and collaborate with the Senior Pastor.
  • Assign teachers and employees to serve the best interests of the school.
  • Oversee student discipline and conduct.
  • Supervise all phases of the school's operation.
  • Maintain accreditation and membership in professional organizations.
  • Stay updated on sound educational practices.
  • Review complaints and render decisions consistent with educational policies.
  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Committee on curriculum revisions.
  • Identify and recruit qualified personnel for vacancies.
  • Develop the annual budget with staff and the Board of Directors.
  • Prepare status reports on various school matters.
  • Serve as a communication focal point with parents, teachers, and students.
  • Monitor and coordinate the maintenance of the campus and facilities.
