About The Position

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) position at Lutheran Hospital involves assisting the medical care team with patient care procedures under the supervision of the Director/Manager/Supervisor of Lutheran Air/Ground/EMS. The EMT serves as an ambulance operator, assessing and implementing care plans for pre-hospital patients based on identified needs and existing patient data, while also having the ability to function independently and direct other EMTs when necessary.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of EMT class with State certification.
• Current IDHS EMT Certification.
• Current BLS or able to obtain within 7 days of hire.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• NIMS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous EMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities
