Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Master's degree in psychiatric nursing or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in psychiatric nursing, with 2 years in a leadership role
  • Certification in psychiatric mental health nursing (PMHN) preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and healthcare regulations

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff in a behavioral health unit
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans for patients with mental health disorders
  • Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care
